Joint Project Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Japan-Mongolia Diplomatic Relations Online Exhibition "Japan and Mongolia: Our History through Archival Records" published on our website

National Archives of Japan (NAJ) and General Authority for Archives in Mongolia (GAAM) signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on archives and records management in November 2019. Since then, both institutions have been working to promote exchanges in related matters.

As the first project under the memorandum, NAJ and GAAM jointly created and published a website "Japan and Mongolia: Our History through Archival Records," to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Mongolia on February 24, 2022. This website presents the history of the relations and exchanges between Japan and Mongolia from the 13th through 21st centuries, focusing on 58 materials mainly held by NAJ and GAAM. This online exhibition is available in three languages: English, Japanese and Mongolian.
