A comprehensive work on botany compiled by Ino Jakusui and Niwa Seihaku, in response to a government order. It is considered an epochal archivement in the field of natural history in Japan. The zuyoku (illustrations) were done by Toda Sukeyuki, an official of the Tokugawa Shogunate, and collectively named Shobutus Ruisan Zuyoku as a supplement to this botanical text.
